The producers of Xoxoc - all goodness that comes from the Xoconostle or prickly pear fruit - established this small business with the objective of improving their local economy and environment. The company works with mostly women in the Valle del Mezquital to contribute to household incomes and boost the local economy. They encourage regional farmers to plant xoconostle cactus to stop erosion of the land and to diversify farmland. And they are committed to paying a fair price to the farmers for the fruits of their labor.

All Xoxoc products are produced with no or minimum reliance on machinery or industrialized processes, and have not been treated with any pesticides or chemical fertilizers – optimizing the quality of the product and the benefit to the community.
