The raison d’etre of Chilean Gourmet epitomizes the principles behind Zocalo Gourmet. The company’s objective is to support their local economy by providing sustainably harvested and produced products that are traditional to their homeland, the Araucania Region. Chilean Gourmet was established in 2005 as escargot breeders and beekeepers. Since then they have expanded to other traditional products and are reaching out to gourmet markets far and wide. The company and the farmers they work with are committed to sustainable agriculture, minimal processing and maximum quality.

The Araucania Region is located 700 kilometers to the south of Santiago, the Chilean capital. The company’s farm is surrounded by native forests, pure brooks, clear lakes, and spectacular volcanoes.
